What the CADspan Plugin for Google SketchUp Does
The CADspan plugin provides the user with tools to prepare a Google SketchUp model for 3D printing. There are two types of tools in the CADspan plugin: aids for preparing a model from within the Google SketchUp interface, and the CADspan resurfacing application interface that opens in Google SketchUp's built-in web browser.
The tools for preparing a model in Google SketchUp will help the user optimize the model for 3D printing.
Once the model is optimized in Google SketchUp, the geometry is passed to the resurfacing application, which will take care of other common issues
with 3D printing Google SketchUp models:
-Small Gaps and Holes
-Coplanar faces
-Co-incident faces
-Removal of extraneous internal geometry
-Multiple intersecting closed objects
-Translation of geometry format to stl
