The CADspan visualization style helps the user identify 3D printing problem areas in the Google SketchUp model. The style shows front faces as a tan color, and back faces in bright red. This helps the user identify reversed faces and holes in the model.
Clicking the CADspan viz style button will toggle between the previously used style and the CADspan style. Greater control over visualization in SketchUp can be achieved by using the Styles control panel.
Keep in mind that the resurfacer will correct any problems with reversed faces. It is still a good idea to have all faces pointing outward, but not imperative if the resurfacer will be used prior to 3D printing. The main goal while using the viz style is to locate major holes and gaps and close them. The style alone will not necessarily make every problem area perfectly obvious. The user is encouraged to evaluate the model in it's entirety, searching for "leaks" between inside and out. If the model would hold water without any leaks, then it is in good enough shape to be sent through the resurfacer.
Note: The Visualization style button is only a toggle and will not revert to another style if the model is saved with the CADSpan style turned on. Please revert to your original style before saving.
